My camera collecting began innocently enough. They were the boxes - simple retro cameras that could be bought for a few dollars on eBay. They satisfied the image of myself returning to some basic roots of photography and creativity. Usually having only one shutter speed, only a few other controls...the box camera was the quintessential step backwards, which in some cases can also be a step forward.
